This is the journey so far for the rules, art and layout for one of the cards in #theodysseysgame - the art is courtesy of @vicsprints
The challenge with this has been to work out how to make the text and rules fit in the spaces of the artwork, to best evoke the story being told and the rules being communicated. For this card in particular, getting a really nice left-right separation between the two options (Scylla and Charybdis), and clearly linking them to the artwork has been key.
The layout and typography is still in progress, at this stage I’m wanting to work on a wider range of islands before committing to an approach.
