Attempt #4 of my Visualising Genetic Sequences project. Follow along and get updates at Visualising Genetic Sequences
I’ve added the amino acids that codons (groups of 3 nucleotides) actually represent. Each of the 21 amino acids that can be built has a slightly different hue (from green to yellow). To build a protein based on a gene, the amino acids are simply joined together in the order specified in the sequence.
There’s some issues with spacing (some of the genes are too close together and their codon representations are overlapping). I think I’m going to have to adjust the visualisation approach for next time.
